About the product
The McLaren Gen 4 12V Battery Emulator Kit is the world’s first solution designed to replace the factory lithium battery with a compatible 92Ah AGM battery or a non-OEM lithium battery without triggering low-voltage errors or battery-related faults.
Important Notice
Once the emulator is installed, the vehicle will no longer accurately detect or report low battery voltage. You must regularly monitor the battery’s charge level and should not rely on the battery information displayed in the instrument cluster.
Certain safety functions activated by low battery voltage—such as automatically lowering the windows slightly—may no longer operate. If you are installing this product for a vehicle owner, make sure they understand these changes and know how to monitor the battery safely.
The system will operate correctly as long as the battery remains properly charged. Please contact Project Gamma if you have any questions before installation.
Confirm Your Battery Generation
Gen 4 batteries are commonly found in the McLaren 720S, 765LT, and GT. However, some vehicles may be equipped with a Gen 3 battery.
Check the beginning of the battery part number:
- 16M or 22M: Gen 4 battery—use this emulator kit.
- 11M or 13M: Gen 1–3 battery—use our McLaren Gen 1–3 Battery Emulator Kit.
The McLaren 750S and Artura have not yet been tested. If you need an emulator for either vehicle, please contact Project Gamma and provide a clear picture of the factory battery and its part number.

Installation and Battery Requirements
The kit is plug-and-play and can be installed or removed without permanent modifications.
Use a 92Ah AGM battery, as recommended, or a non-OEM lithium battery with specifications equivalent to the original McLaren lithium battery. Using an unsuitable battery may cause operational or electrical issues.
Always monitor the battery voltage manually. Do not rely on the instrument-cluster battery charge information after installing the emulator, as it will no longer provide an accurate reading.

Before ordering, confirm that your vehicle has a Gen 4 battery with a part number beginning with 16M or 22M.
When will my order ship?
If it’s in stock and the order is placed before 3pm, it ships the same day. If you ordered a product with ceramic coating, it will ship the following business day.
If the product or color spec you’re looking for is not in stock, you can join the waitlist by clicking the “email when available” button underneath the “out of stock” label. We will email you as soon as your product is available and give you an estimated back in stock time.
What if I submitted a custom order?
If you are making a custom order, email us to submit your request and we will give you an estimated delivery time based on the special manufacturing time.
What if my product arrives damaged, incorrect, or is missing parts?
If you received the incorrect product or color, missing parts, or the item is defective, email us a picture with your order number and you will receive a refund or exchange. Contact us at info@shopprojectgamma.com and we will work with you to make it right.
What if I’m not satisfied with the product?
If the product is unused and uninstalled, we can offer you a refund, exchange, or store credit. If the product was used or installed on your vehicle, we unfortunately cannot offer any refund, exchanges, or credit.
What if I installed my products and then I decide I don’t like them?
Unfortunately used or installed products will not qualify for a return or refund. If you have any questions or concerns you can email us at info@shopprojectgamma.com
A restocking fee of 20% of the original purchase price may be applied to returned products. This fee covers the costs associated with processing the return and restocking the item if applicable. Please refer to our policies page for more info regarding all exchanges and returns.
